Negligence galore
GK NEWS NETWORK
Jammu, Aug 20: Exposing the casual attitude of the doctors towards the patients, an infant declared dead soon after his birth at the SMGS Hospital, here was found breathing and alive when the family members were about to perform his burial, late last evening.
Sources said that Jaha Begum, wife of Bashir Ahmed, a resident of teshil Gool of Ramban district was admitted in the SMGS for delivery and today she was shifted to the operation theatre after she developed pain.
“She gave birth to a male child who was pronounced as dead by the doctors operating her,” sources added.
Sources said, the disappointed family members took the baby to graveyard for burial but on removing the towel in which he was wrapped in, they found that the infant was breathing.
“It was a miracle of Almighty. We rushed to the SMGS hospital again and informed doctors, who admitted the baby in ICU unit,” the family members informed.
Later, the family held a protest against the doctors for their alleged negligence.
