Recruitment process
This refers to the news "Fake degree holders may hit genuine candidates" (GK 19 Aug). It is sad to know that the candidates who recently appeared in the interviews for teacher posts from various districts of J&K are apprehensive. They may face problems as
they have secured less percentage in comparison to those having fake degree holders who
have secured staggering 80-95 percent marks. Before finalizing the lists, the SSB should once again minutely scrutinize the credentials of such candidates with fake degrees. The
pass-out candidates of Kashmir University and other UGC recognized universities should be given priority. The SSB should modify the modus operandi and make recruitment a process transparent.
