Army organizes Iftaar parties
Srinagar, Aug 23: Army’s Vajr Division hosted an Iftaar party in Kupwara on Sunday.
According to Defence communiqué, the party was attended by large number of people from civil society, government officials, intelligentsia and opinion makers.
General Officer Commanding Vajr Division was also present on the occasion, it said.
The occasion provided a platform for Army, Jammu and Kashmir Police and government officials including newly elected Sarpanchs and Panchs to interact with each other and with the people, it said. The General Officer Commanding expressed satisfaction about the close relationships between the Army, district administration, police, paramilitary force and people, it added.
Meanwhile, TMG Brigade also hosted an Iftaar party at Naugam Garrison on Saturday.
According to Defence communiqué, senior army officers attended the party along with the people. Sarpanchs and Numberdars were also present, it added.
POLICE HOLDS IFTAAR PARTY
An Iftaar party was organised by police in Pulwama on Tuesday.
Representatives from different social and religious organizations attended the party. Besides SP Ghulam Rasool Dar, DSP Headquarters hqr and SHOs from Rajpora, Pulwama and Lassipora police stations were also present.
