Metering resented in Khanyar

Srinagar, Aug 23: The residents of Khanyar on Tuesday strongly opposed installation of meters in the locality.
 Reports said as soon as a team of PDD reached a locality of Khanyar, the inhabitants resented their move to install meters there. “PDD has failed to provide us with uninterrupted power supply. Besides, the transmission lines and electric poles are in worst condition endangering lives of people. The PDD should first improve its distribution network and work out for providing uninterrupted power supply before installing the meters,” the locals told Greater Kashmir.
