HCC installs anti-pollution devices in crusher plant

Pazalpora (Bandipore) Aug 24: Hindustan Construction Company (HCC) executing the 320 Kishen Ganga Hydro Electric Power Project here in north Kashmir on Wednesday said that it has turned its crusher plant in an eco-friendly unit to ensure minimum damage to the surrounding areas.
 Reacting to a news story ‘HCC crusher creates havoc in Bandipore’ carried in Greater Kashmir’s Tuesday’s edition, a HCC spokesman said, “The HCC has installed the anti-pollution equipment in the crusher to ensure that no damage is caused to the surrounding areas. The crusher plant is in its testing stage and would be make more eco friendly in coming days.”
 “Filtration tank has been installed to prevent sedimentation. Several anti- pollution and sound preserving equipments were installed in the unit so that it may have least impact on surrounding environs. A massive plantation drive will be started to make the area green in order to minimize the impact of the crusher plant,” he added.
 He clarified that the crusher plant was the part of Kishen Ganga Hydro Electric Power Project and will not be used for any commercial use. “It is a temporary setup and it will last till the project is completed,” he added.  
 “We will leave no stone unturned to ensure that plant in Pazalpora and adjoining areas leaves no marks on the environment and that truly sustainable development of the area is possible,” he added.
