Yaqoob Khan sworn in as new PaK president

Islamabad, Aug 25: The former Prime Minister and central leader of Pakistan Peoples’ Party Sardar Muhammad Yaqoob Khan on Thursday took oath as the 22nd president of Pakistani administered Kashmir (PaK).
 Muhammad Azam Khan, the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of PaK administered oath to the newly elected president. The swearing-in ceremony was specially attended by Prime Minister Chaudhry Abdul Majeed , Gilgit Baltistan Chief Minister Syed Mehdi Shah, federal ministers, legislators, cabinet members, opposition leader Raja Farooq Hyder Khan and government officials, whereas the outgoing president Raja Zulqarnain Khan was present on the occasion.
  Later, a contingent of police presented guard of honour to the President.
 Khan replaced Raja Zulqarnain Khan. Others who occupied the top slot included Sardar Sikander Hayat Khan, Sardar Muhammad Abdul Qayyum Khan, Major General (Retd) Sardar Muhammad Hayat Khan, Major General (Retd) Abdul Rehman Khan, Khan Abdul Hameed Khan, K.H. Khursheed,  Captain General (Retd) Syed Ali Ahmed Shah, Col. (Retd) Sheir Ahmed Khan, Mir Waiz Moulana Muhammad Yousaf Shah and Sardar Muhammad Ibrahim Khan.
