11 injured in road mishaps
Srinagar, August 28: Eleven persons were injured in different road accidents in Valley.
An accident took place between matador bearing registration number (JK13-2011) and an auto bearing registration number (JK01B-6812) at Lower T-crossing, Cheshmashahi Nishat here, resulting in injuries to auto driver, Abdul Rashid Sheikh son of Muhammad Yousuf and Mohsin residents of Dalgate, Srinagar, police said adding the wounded had been hospitalized.
The matador driver sped away from the spot, police said adding a case had been registered in this regard.
In another incident, a car bearing registration number (JK01Q-0250) on way to Sonamarg hit and injured a girl, Saba Bano daughter of Mian Mushtaq of Baba Nagri at PDD Colony NHW Ganderbal, police said adding the injured girl had been to SKIMS Soura and a case had been registered in this regard.
A car bearing registration number (JK03A-5415) collided with a bus at Kawari Bridge Kupwara, resulting in injuries to Ghulam Hassan Bhat son of Abdul Gani and Shahid Bhat son of Ghulam Hassan of Lankrashen Kupwara travelling in the car, police said adding the injured were hospitalized.
The bus driver sped away from the spot, police said adding a case had been registered in this regard.
A car bearing registration number (JK03-4074) collided with an electric pole at Bijbehara causing injuries to the driver Muhammad Altaf Shah son of Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din of Feroze Shah Mohalla, police said adding the wounded had been shifted to hospital. Police has registered a case in this regard.
An auto load carrier bearing registration number (JK03B-0628) hit and injured three pedestrians, Shahzada Akhtar daughter of Skinder Koko, Muneera Begum wife of Arif Lone and Fardeen Arif son of Arif Lone of Hangalpawa Khayar at Iqbal Abad, Mattan, police said adding the wounded had been hospitalized.
3 QUINTALS FUKKI RECOVERED
Police in Pulwama has recovered three quintals of Fukki along with refining machine and 5 KV transformer from a cow shed of Feroz Ahmad Dar son of Muhammad Shaban of Kangan.
According to the police spokesman, the accused however managed to escape. Police has registered a case in this regard.
