3 drug peddlers arrested

ANTI-DRUG DRIVE IN SAMBA
Jammu, Aug 28: Police today nabbed three drug peddles and recovered a huge consignment of 10400 banned capsules from their possession in neighbouring Samba district, official sources said.
They said that a police team led by SHO Samba Inspector Sandeep Mahajan under the supervision of SSP (Samba) Asrar Khan and DySP headquarter; Shahzaad Salaria laid a naka at Phallah Morh after receiving inputs about the drug peddling.
The police team intercepted two suspected persons and frisked them. Sources said police recovered 3000 intoxicant capsules from the possession of Dildar Baksh son of Kaka of Jindarh Khurd, Bishnah and 1400 banned capsules were recovered from the possession of Sonu Kumar son of Sansar Chand of house number 333 in Nai Basti.
Another alleged drug peddler, identified as Rakesh Kumar son of Dharam Vir of house number 162, Kanak Mandi, from Nank-e-Chak, Samba was arrested with 6000 intoxicant capsules.
The trio were arrested and booked under NDPS Act at the concerned police station.
It may be mentioned here that after the constitution of Anti-Drugs Squad of District Samba, Police has recovered 22000 intoxicant capsules from the possession of 14 drug peddler sine July, 2011.
Sources said police have prepared the dossiers of four drug peddlers for their detention under PSA as they have been found involved on more than two cases.(GKNN)
