Div Com reviews progress of NHA-1

Srinagar: A high level meeting at Divisional level was held here today under the chairmanship of Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Dr. Asgar Samoon in connection with shifting utilities/impediments coming in the alignment of National High Way (NHA-1).
 The concerned departments Power Development Department, Public Health Engineering, Social Forestry, Food Corporation of India, Horticulture and others were directed to conduct a joint survey immediately with NHA-1 authorities and asked them to send DPR’s to the concerned departments.
 The NHA-1 authorities were also directed to make payments to the departments for removing utilities besides Project Director was also asked to release immediately Rs. 30 Cr to District Development Commissioners Islamabad (Anantnag)/Pulwama for disbursement to land holders.
 The meeting was attended by District Development Commissioner Srinagar,  Me’raj Ahmad Kakroo, DDC Pulwama   Shafat Noor, DDC Anantnag Syed Kifayat Hussian Rizvi, ADC Budgam M A Qadri, Chief Engineers of Beacon, R&B, PHE, EMRE, PDD, Project Directors, Social Forestry, Director Horticulture, representatives of Army and project Director, NHA-A.
