Man held with a kg gold at Dhaka airport
Dhaka: A man has been detained with gold ornaments weighing one kg and foreign currencies worth over Tk 2 crore at the international airport here.
Forty-year-old Abdul Gafur was to board a Qatar Airways flight at Shahjalal International Airport when officials detected the foreign currencies in his luggage, said Akbar Hossain, an official.
Daily Star reported that the gold ornaments and foreign currency notes were found when Gafur's luggage was scanned. IANS
