Sheikh Ghulam Rasool for declaring Gbl areas backward
GK NEWS NETWORK
Srinagar, Aug 3: The senior National Conference leader and Member of the Legislative Council (MLC) Sheikh Ghulam Rasool on Wednesday urged the State Commission for Backward Classes to include Batapora, Khanpora, Sheikhzo, Sheerpathri, Gamwara, Zazina, Waskura and Nowabagh villages of Ganderbal district in backward areas.
Sheikh Ghulam Rasool today met the Chairman of the Commission Justice Ali Muhammad Mir and other officers and discussed with them the long pending representations of the residents of these areas.
The MLC stressed on the need to declare these areas as backward as these fully justify the criteria like income, lack of infrastructure and educational upliftment.
The Chairman promised Sheikh Ghulam Rasool that the Commission would consider all the representations with due regard to their merit and also keeping in view the rationale of inclusion of some areas of the district.
