KU reacts to news report

Srinagar, Aug 4: Reacting to news report on complaints by Rabia Basri Girls Hostel inmates at Kashmir University, the hostel warden Thursday pleaded that “fresh meals are being served to the boarders in the dining hall both at the Iftar and Sehri besides a host of the items chosen by the Boarders themselves making it a splendid menu.”
Interestingly, the warden said that complaint should have been “examined by the University authorities prior to making news out of nothing.”
But the official presumably doesn’t know that the concerned desk had spoken to the Provost and his version was carried in the news report, though not naming him.
Meanwhile, sources said the KU VC took a serious note of the news report and got the hostel working streamlined, after an inspection by a team of officials Thursday morning.
