Army organizes educational tour
Srinagar: Army has organized educational-cum-motivational tour to Devsar-Jammu-Bengaluru-Mysore-Chennai and back for 35 school children of various districts in south Kashmir, an Army spokesman said.
The spokesman said the tour comprises of 35 children of eight different schools from Anantnag (Islamabad), Kulgam and Shopian districts.
“These children will be visiting Jammu, Bengaluru, Mysore and Chennai. The tour would also help encourage the children to get a first hand experience of the career options at these places and to motivate them to compete at the national level,” the spokesman said.
“During the tour, the children will be exposed to rich culture, heritage and diversity of the nation. Some of the important places where the participants shall visit include Officers Training Academy, Chennai, IIM, Bengaluru and Info Training Academy located at Mysore.” The tour was flagged off by Commander, 2 Sector Rashtriya Rifles.
