Darakhshan says unemployment taking toll on JK youth

Srinagar, Aug 5: President of Socialistic Democratic Party Dr Darakhshan Andrabi on Friday said that unemployment problem is taking toll on the youth of Jammu and Kashmir and urged the world community to help them out to get special placement quota in the business and industrial sector of their respective countries.
 She was speaking at the annual International Indo-Thai World Achievers Summit at World Habitat Centre, New Delhi. The heads and the management executives of all major international business and industrial companies attended the conference alongwith the government representatives of India and Thailand. Maruti Suzuki, Tata, Reliance Communications, Steel Authority of India, Max India and LG India were the among 50 Indian business houses which represented the country in the Summit.
 According to SDP statement, Dr Darakshan said in absence of the industrial and economic sector in Jammu & Kashmir, the youth in the state are suffering a lot for jobs. The conference resolved to consider her proposal of investment in J&K.
 She tabled a comprehensive Industrial and Business report at the summit presenting the scope of investment in different sectors in the state of Jammu and Kashmir.
