School edu employees stage protest

Srinagar: Scores of employees of the school education department on Friday staged protest demonstration in the directorate complex, M A Road, here.
The protest was organized by the School Education Non-Teaching Employees’ Forum (SENTEF) president Nusrat Ahmad Beigh in support of the Joint Consultative Committee (JCC’s) two-day pen-down call for August 5 and August 6.
“Besides non-teaching employees, the EJAC leaders and a number teachers also participated in protest demonstration, demanding fulfillment of employees’ demands that include payment of 6th pay commission arrears, enhancement of retirement age to 60 and regularization of adhoc employees and daily-wagers,” said spokesman of the SENTEF in a statement today.
