VO produces challan against PHE officials

Srinagar, Aug 5: State Vigilance Organization Thursday produced challan in a case (FIR No. 22/006-P/S VOK) against Manzoor Ahmad Hajam son of Abdus Sattar of Bumhama Kupwara, a storekeeper PHE Division Handwara, Muhammad Maqbool Wani son of Assadullah Wani of Braripora Handwara, Store Assistant at PHE Division Handwara and Muhammad Ramzan Bhat son of Ghulam Qadir of Brain Nishant Srinagar, before the Court of Special Judge Anti Corruption, Srinagar.
 “The Accused public servants while being posted at PHE Division Handwara and PHE M&P Division Srinagar respectively hatched a criminal conspiracy and abused their official position by resorting to preparation of false and fabricated records maintained by them during the routine official work,” a VO spokesman said in a statement. “The investigation revealed that store articles consisting of pipes worth Rs. 23, 36,630 were found misappropriated by the accused public servants, thereby causing loss to the state exchequer.”
