Legislator’s daughter crushes 8-yr kid to death
GK NEWS NETWORK
Srinagar, Aug 7: An eight year old child Musaib Ahmad Teli was crushed to death by a speedy Tata Safari allegedly driven by daughter of legislator from Karnah near Bulgam Sopore on Sunday evening, eyewitnesses said.
“The vehicle (JK01 4301), which was moving towards Srinagar from Baramulla, hit Musaib near Bulgam crossing at around 4 pm,” they said.
Witnesses and family members of Musiab said the car was driven by a woman.
“The car was driven by daughter of MLA Karnah who tried to flee from the spot after the accident. But some local drivers chased the car and caught hold of it near Pattan,” witnesses said.
However a police official at Police Post Potkha, Javaid Ahmad, said they have arrested one person Ishfaq Ahmad Wani and seized the vehicle. Sources identified Wani as son-in-law of MLA Karnah.
A case (17/2011) under section 279 and 304 of RPC has been registered.
