NC always protected HR: Dr Farooq
Srinagar: The National Conference president and Union Minister for new and renewable energy Dr Farooq Abdullah on Friday claimed that NC has always been on forefront to protect human rights. In his message on the eve of World Human Rights Day, Dr Farooq claimed that NC had faced the rage of exploitative elements and offered great sacrifices for the protection of human rights. “Late Sheikh Muhammad Abdullah endured innumerable trials and tribulations during long incarcerations in jails to safeguard the rights of people,” he said, adding that soon after taking the reins of state government in his hands, Omar Abdullah declared Kashmir as political issue thereby paving way for its resolution.
