Teachers to protest on Dec 20

Srinagar, Dec 9: Employees Joint Action Committee-Q (EJAC-Q) President and Chairman J&K Teachers’ Forum, Abdul Qayoom Wani Friday said that to address the demands of teachers there would be protest demonstration at Pratap Park and Lal Chowk on December 20.
 Addressing a seminar “Emerging Trends in Education” in Handwara, Wani said that the EJAC (Q) is ready to walk with the Teachers’ Forum to eradicate the social evils like alcoholism and drug addiction from the Valley. He also appealed parents, civil society and religious leaders to play their role to curb the social evils from the society.
 Dr G N War, Director S N Das-Gupta College, Editor-in-Chief Chattan Tahir Mohiudin, Editor-in-Chief, KNS Mohammad Aslam Bhat, Chief Spokesperson of Teachers’ Forum, Mohammad Suleiman Bhat and other journalist from Kupwara were also present on the occasion.
