Your anger unjustified:Jamaat to Omar

Srinagar, Dec 9: Jamaat-e-Islami Jammu and Kashmir has castigated the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and National Conference President Dr Farooq Abdullah for advocating opening of liquor shops in the Valley.
In a statement, a spokesman of the party said, “We have firm belief that no sane person even from the non-Muslim community will support thought of the duo.”
“Omar Abdullah’s anger against Jamat-e-Islami is unreasonable and unjustified as it is not Jamaat which has prohibited taking of liquor or commission of immodest and immoral acts and their propagation through cinemas but it is the Creator and Lord of the universe who has put these restrictions upon these vicious things.”
The statement said no religion allows such things, which have proved to be detrimental to the spiritual and material health of the human society. “If Dr Farooq and Omar Abdullah do not believe in the commandments of their own creator, no one can compel them. But at the same time, they have no right or authority to impose their European -brand secularist thoughts depicting their disbelief over the believers,” the statement added.
