GOVT LAUNCHES MEASURES FOR DEV OF STs: NAAZ
Jammu, Dec 11: Gujjar and Bakerwals (G&B) State Advisory Board, Vice-Chairman, Ch. Bashir Ahmad Naaz today said that State and Central Government had launched several measures for all round development of Scheduled Tribes including Gujjars and Bakerwals.
Addressing a function at Poonch, Ch. Naaz said sincere efforts were being made by State and central Government to promote education for all round development of this backward section. In this regard, G&B hostels, for boys and girls are being constructed at district and Tehsil level in a phased manner besides scholarship, free text books, uniforms and other facilities are being provided to the students of the community, he added.
