Matric private candidates restive

Practicals from Dec 16, BOSE yet to issue Roll No. slips

Srinagar, Dec 12:  The candidates who are appearing as freshers in the ensuing private matriculation examination in Kashmir division are restive as they are yet to receive their roll number slips when the practicals are commencing from December 16.
“Our Science practicals, as per the BOSE notification, are commencing from December 16. We are approaching the school authorities for Roll No. slips to know about our practical centres but they (school authorities) say that they have yet to receive these from BOSE. The BOSE officials say that they have yet to receive the roll no. slips and other forms from the New Delhi and these are expected to reach here on December 14 or 15,” said a group of candidates while talking to Greater Kashmir
“We are at a loss to understand what to do. If the BOSE receives these on December 14, how can all the schools receive and distribute these to the candidates on the same or the other day only. BOSE should have sent these to schools by now,” they said adding that BOSE should either ensure that the roll number slips reach the schools on December 13, or it should postpone the practicals.
When contacted, the Secretary BOSE said, “We will ensure that the candidates received their roll no. slips well on time.”
