GOVT NOTIFIES LIST
Jammu, Dec 13: The Jammu and Kashmir Government on Tuesday sanctioned Rs 3.47 crore as Central assistance in favour of Directors of School Education of Kashmir/ Jammu for further released to 362 Madrassas of Kashmir and Jammu province as Grant-in-Aid.
An official statement which was issued on Tuesday evening said, the funds have been released under Centrally Sponsored Scheme for providing of Quality Education in the Madrassas (SPQEM) for incurring expenditure on salary, teaching, learning material, establishment of library and science/computer labs/workshop after fulfilling the following conditions.
As per the order, the conditions include that Directors of school education shall indicate in their sanction order component-wise break-up, the allocation of funds shall be made scheme-wise to the executing agencies, the amount shall be spent in accordance with the guidelines of the scheme furnished by the concerned Ministry and no diversion shall be made to any other scheme and the Directorates shall send a status report about the schemes, physical and financial progress as per the schedule of Finance department besides FA/CAO shall voucherise the utilization of funds as per the codal procedures.
Similarly, the Directors of School Education Kashmir and Jammu shall verify that the beneficiary Institutions are existing on the ground and are functional.
“The other conditions are that the Institutions are recognized and affiliated with the designated competent authorities and also fulfill the conditions laid down in SRO 123 of 2010. The funds are utilized for the purpose these are allotted for and utilization certificates are obtained and furnished to the concerned quarters.”
The official statement said the directors shall furnish the details of Grant-in-aid released earlier verified and communicated to the concerned quarters.
