JKLF marks anniversary of Peer Ashiq, others
Srinagar, Dec 15: Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front, at a meeting held on Thursday at its head office Maqbool Manzil Maisuma here, paid glowing tributes to Shaheed Peer Ashiq Hussain Masoodi of Nawara, Srinagar, Shaheed Mushtaq Ahmad alias Amir of Rambagh, Shaheed Shabir Ahmad alias Abdullah Babadam and Shaheed Gul Muhamamd Lone of Qazi Gund on their martyrdom anniversaries.
Remembering Peer Ashiq Hussain, a spokesman the Front said he was a pious and righteous Muslim youth. “He was mercilessly sawn to martyrdom at a band-saw mill by the armed forces,” said a spokesman of the Front in a statement today, adding that “Mushtaq Amir and Shabir were martyred in 1991. Gul Muhammad Lone was martyred in the custody of armed forces.”
The meeting prayed for the martyrs and reiterated the pledge to take their mission to its logical end.
