SEPARATISTS CONDEMN TARIQ’S KILLING
AASIYA VISITS DECEASED’S HOUSE
Srinagar, Dec 15: Various pro-freedom groups have strongly condemned the killing of Tariq Ahmad Bhat of Nowhatta who succumbed to his injuries on Wednesday. Tariq was injured by some youth on December 3 after he refused to close down his shop against the pepper gas shelling in Old City here
A delegation of Dukhtaran-e-Millat led by its chairperson Syeda Aasiya Andrabi on Thursday visited Tariq’s residence at Nowhatta here and strongly condemned his killing.
“Youth are our most precious asset and their loss is the irreparable loss to the Ummah” Aasiya, according to DeM statement said while addressing mourners there. She also offered special prayers for the deceased and expressed solidarity with his parents and other family members.
Meanwhile, Hurriyat Conference (M) also strongly condemned Tariq’s killing. “Curbing of these incidents is our national and religious duty,” Conglomerate’s spokesman said in a statement while expressing sympathy with the bereaved family.
Meanwhile, a delegation of Awami Action Committee visited bereaved family and expressed condolence with it on behalf of Mirwaiz Umar Farooq. The delegation comprised Mushtaq Ahmad Sofi and Peer Ghulam Nabi.
