Give us bus service: Usmania Colony committee
USMANIA COLONY, Gulshan Nagar which is quite adjacent to Bagh-e-Mehtab has developed into a vast populous area of inhabitants over a period of time and it is expanding day-by-day. The transport facility for such huge population is non-existent. The whole population is dependent on the overcrowded buses either plying on Chadoora route or too far off on the Bypass.
It needs a mention here that each and every one of this area has to walk down over more than one and a half kilometre to reach Chadoora road or bypass and then wait on the roadside for hours to find little space to keep standing in the overcrowded buses.
The Usmania Colony Chowk near Bazaz Masjid is central to this entire area for availing transport facility conveniently by general public.
The daily commuters especially girl students of the area face embarrassment when they find hardly any space to board the overcrowded buses to reach educational institutions and back home.
Most often we face quarrelsome situation in the overcrowded buses between commuters and the driver.
We had requested concerned authorities many a times to provide transport service for and upto Usmania Colony Chowk but it has all gone in vain as on date.
We would like to make it amply clear that there is no transport service available to the vast area of Usmania Colony, Gulshan Nagar as on date.
We once again request the authorities to provide transport service (Sumo service) to the Usmania colony which shall ply from Usmania Colony Chowk. The Sumo service from LD Sumo stand is a viable option. It shall ply from LD Stand to Usmania Colony Chowk via Sanat Nagar and from Usmania Colony Chowk it shall again ply via Sanat Nagar to LD Stand.
