Police register case against Sarpanch, Panchs

Lar (Ganderbal), Dec 16: Police on Friday registered a case against a Sarpanch and 2 Panchs on charges of beating and humiliating a Block Development Officer (BDO) Lar here  The BDO Lar Sajad Ahmad Qadri alleged that a Sarpanch of Khiranihama, accompanied by two Panchs entered into his office and attacked him when he was busy in a meeting.
 "Attackers got infuriated after a peon told them to wait for a few minutes as I was in the midst of the meeting,” the BDO said. After the incident the BDO approached police and registered a case under FIR No. 30/2011/353 RPC in this connection.
