Proper recruitments
This refers to the news that an official panel tasked to approve the regularization of ad hoc and contractual appointees in Jammu and Kashmir has Okayed 1400 appointments so far whereas 2200 candidates have been found ineligible. The move is appreciable. What is interesting is that the panel seems to have taken a fair amount of time to do the scrutiny of eligible candidates. That is why 2200 cases have been found ineligible by the committee and another 1700 cases were short of the defined criteria under the Act for regularization. It is important for the Government to make appointments on the basis of merit and competence of candidates so that our future is not bleak. Development of a nation depends upon the competence of its manpower. If the Government fails make proper recruitments, we are bound to fail on every front.
