‘Investors not willing to invest in JK’

Tangmarg, Dec 17: Agriculture Minister Ghulam Hassan Mir on Saturday said that peace is imperative for prosperity of the state. He impressed upon the youth to have positive development approach and create a new thinking and enthusiasm in their minds for developing the JK as a model state.
The Minister said that violence has never yielded anything but created problems for the common people. He asked the youth to revolutionize their talent and participate in higher exams for securing bright future. He said due to various factors, the investors were not willing to invest in the state. He said for attracting investors to invest in the state peace is very important tool and also for promoting tourism which will boost our economy. He asked the youth to play their role for the construction of a peaceful state.
On the occasion, the locals apprised the Minister of their problems. Mir assured them that efforts will be made to solve their problems, besides he announced that funds will be provided for fencing the Sports Stadium of Tarhama. He also said that steps will be taken for starting new subjects in the Boys Higher Secondary School, Tarhama including Information Technology and Computer Lab etc.
The Minister said that efforts are on to set up Sheep and Veterinary Unit in the said area. He said that Rs. 60 lakhs has been earmarked for purchasing electricity wire, erecting of new electric poles and for the development of the Power sector in Tangmarg constituency.
