Extortionist gang busted

Pakherpora, Dec 18: Police with the help of locals nabbed a gang of four extortionists at Chraripora village of central Kashmir Budgam district on Saturday.  Locals said the extortionists had demanded a ransom from a trader Ghulam Rasool Dar at Pakherpora on Friday night. Apart from demanding a ransom of Rs 70000 from the trader, the had also robbed off Dar’s sons three mobile phones from the house at Chararipora. The family had informed the police and the relatives who managed to catch hold one of the extortionist at Chararipora. The further investigation by the police led to arrest of two brothers and their cousin.
