Geelani concerned Over funding of JK Madrassas by Delhi
GK NEWS NETWORK
Srinagar, Dec 18: Expressing concern over funding of Madrassas in Jammu and Kashmir, Hurriyat Conference (G) Chairman Syed Ali Shah Geelani today asked the religious organizations and their leaders to “remain aware of the conspiracies being hatched by New Delhi.”
“We don’t have anything to do with swindling of money released for Madrassas. But we are concerned over the hidden motive behind it as it can prove harmful for the movement. We should give preference to the religious cause and not fall in their trap,” Geelani said, in a statement here.
“The religious organizations sitting silent on the injustice with Kashmiris, intentionally or unintentionally, are strengthening the hands of India. Imperialistic powers trying to purchase Ulema and religious institutions want to divide Muslims. They also do it to utilize them at an appropriate time to fill color in their designs,” Geelani said.
“New Delhi after failing to crush the struggle of Kashmiris through military might is now working on other fronts to weaken the movement,” he added.
