Shortage of potable water in Pulwama villages

Pulwama, Dec 1: The residents of Shadimarg and Dangarpora villages Wednesday protested against the shortage of drinking water. The protestors complained that their taps were running dry from the last eight days. “Despite repeated pleas, the officials of Public Health Engineering department have completely failed to redress our grievance,” the protestors said.
 The protestors blocked roads leading to Pulwama, Keller, Tukroo and Drabgam and sought the intervention of district administration.
 When contacted Assistant Engineer PHE, Nissar Ahmad said grievance of the people was genuine. The problem will be resolved in coming days, he added.
