SMC announces recruitment list in record time
Srinagar, Dec 19: The Srinagar Municipal Corporation has released the list of Junior Assistants in record time, shortest ever for the civic body, officials said Monday.
They said the candidates were screened on Saturday while the results were declared on Sunday.
Sources said the Commissioner SMC Sheikh Mushtaq got the list finalized within hours as “to avoid any political interference.”
They said the staff worked till midnight Saturday and finalized the list in presence of Mushtaq.
“It’s for the first time in the history of SMC that the selection list has been finalized so speedily.”
