UTI Mutual Fund initiates Swatantra

Srinagar, Dec 20: As a part of its endeavour to spread financial literacy, UTI Mutual Fund (UTI MF or UTI), a SEBI registered mutual fund, has initiated its Investor Education Initiative called “Swatantra”.
 This Initiative is in Partnership with Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India.  As a part of this initiative four UTI Knowledge Caravans are travelling through the length and breadth of the country for spreading financial literacy.
 In Jammu, this was flagged off by John Samuel, Chief Post Master General J&K who was accompanied by UTI officials, the company in a statement said.
 Giving details it said the four UTI Knowledge Caravans are travelling through various cities, towns and villages in India and will cover a total distance of about 47,350 kms. “They will cover 510 cities/towns and 6000 villages. The Investor Education Initiative is being conducted in 13 different languages,” it said.
 UTI Mutual Fund is conducting Investor Meets for investors specifically targeting haats, mandis, SME clusters and various industrial areas. UTI Mutual Fund is also conducting educational programs at schools and colleges to spread the message of savings and investments to the youth of India.
 Jaideep Bhattacharya, Group President and Chief Marketing Officer, UTI AMC said, “This initiative stands by our commitment to continue spreading financial literacy across the country.
