GK NEWS NETWORK
Jammu (Nagrota) Dec 23: Chief Minister’s political advisor, Devendar Singh Rana, on Friday said innovative measures put in place by the National Conference–Congress coalition government to reach out to people in every corner of the state have started yielding significant results.
“The road map of all round development of the state drawn by the Omar Abdullah led government will give new dimension to the progress and development,” Rana said while addressing a gathering here.
Rana said that coalition was working in close coordination to translate its agenda of total development of the state into a reality. “Working relation and bonds of mutual trust are getting strong and strong between the coalition partners which has sent waves of frustration into the rank and file of its detractors,” he added.
He said the historic decision of NC-Congress coalition government to hold Panchayat elections in the state after a period of over thirty years and transfer of power to these basic democratic institutions have given fillip to the good governance and public empowerment. He said establishment of powerful Panchayat Raj in the state is determination of present dispensation and coalition government would take all measures to ensure flourishing of Panchayats in the state.
He said besides the allocation of highest ever annual plan for JK last year and approval to the special developmental projects, the Union leadership has given full support to Omar Abdullah government for moving ahead on road to peace and development in the state.
Rana said that constitution of Rangarajan Committee for enhancing employment orbit for youth and implementation of its recommendations is going to help address employment crises in the state. He said the SKWEPY initiative of coalition government along with central assistance to encourage self employment ventures would yield encouraging results in near future.
He urged people to extend their full cooperation to the government in making the state a modern state in the country for which Chief Minister Omar Abdullah is determined.
Rana asked NC and Congress party workers to work in tandem and jointly reach out to the people in all areas. “You should jointly identify the problems of people and take their redressal at the government level”, he added.
