PDP condoles Moulana Alama Yasin’s demise
Srinagar, Dec 23: Expressing grief on the demise of Faqir-e-Milat Moulana Alama Yasin, the Peoples Democratic Party Friday expressed its condolences on the Chahrum of the noted religious personality.
In a statement, PDP patron Mufti Muhammad Sayeed and Party President Mehbooba Mufti conveyed their sympathies to the bereaved family and expressed solidarity with them. Terming Moulana Yasin as a great source of inspiration, Mufti said he was not only a known religious leader of the State, but religious scholars across the World had great admiration for him.
“His spiritual guidance benefited large number of people. Faqir-e-Milat remained living symbol of Kashmir’s tradition of mystic syncretism and, for his followers, a beacon in a landscape of seemingly relentless strife while leaving indelible impressions on the hearts and minds of his disciples, Mehbooba said.
Senior party leaders Muzaffar Hussain Beigh, Molvi Iftikhar Ansari, Tariq Hamid Qarra, Muhammed Dilawar Mir, Abdul Rehman Veeri, Muhammad Sartaj Madni, Qazi Muhammad Afzal, Peer Muhammad Hussain, Muhammad Ashraf Mir and others also expressed their condolence to the family and prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul.
