7 medical shops sealed

Islamabad/ Kulgam, Dec 24: Authorities on Saturday closed down seven medical shops in south Kashmir and suspended the license of four for violating the provisions of license under the Drug and Cosmetic Act.
Officials said the inspection was conducted by a team of the officials under the supervision of Assistant Drug Controller, Islamabad/Kulgam, Muhamad Iqbal Palla. “During surprise inspection the team also suspended the license of four chemists in Islamabad and Kulgam districts,” they said, adding the team also seized 25 bottles of codeine from one of the chemists at Bugam. “Samples were randomly taken for analysis,” he added.
