Sarpanchs, Panchs lead protest against 'shortage' of basic amenities

Ajas (Bandipora) Dec 24: Sarpanchs and Panchs led a protest demonstration against the alleged shortage of basic amenities here in north Kashmir on Saturday.
 Residents of Ajas and adjoining villages raising anti-government slogans took to the streets this morning and staged a sit-in on Srinagar-Bandipora road for over six hours disrupting the vehicular movement.
 Protesters said that erratic power supply, shortage of drinking water and empty ration depots have made their lives miserable.
 Later police officials reached on the spot and pacified the protesters. They assured them that administration would be apprised about their demands.
