PDP’s propaganda cannot weaken NC: Rana
GK NEWS NETWORK
JAMMU, Dec 25: Launching a scathing attack on Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for launching malicious campaign against his party, Chief Minister’s Political Advisor, Devender Rana on Sunday said that PDP leadership was in habit of leveling wild allegations against National Conference but they apologize when it comes to prove their allegations.
“They are in the habit of making false allegations against NC leaders and then not standing by them,” Rana said while addressing a gathering at Sidhra on the city outskirts here.
“The government has established State Accountability Commission and if PDP has specific allegations it should approach to the commission with proof instead of leveling mere allegations. Omar Abdullah is on record to have said that the corrupt will not be spared. PDP must come out with evidence and the coalition government will be the first to act,” he added.
“They (PDP) had also ruled Jammu and Kashmir for three years from 2002 to 2005 but why they didn’t book even a single NC member who they claim was corrupt,” Rana said adding that such false propaganda cannot weaken NC which has made supreme sacrifices for people of the state and their well being .
Accusing PDP of playing divisive politics, Rana said communal politics has no place in Jammu and Kashmir and National Conference, with the support of the people, will foil all the designs aimed at dividing the society on regional, religious and caste basis.
“PDP has left deep scars on the minds of the people of JK by flaring sentiments during 2008 and rather than being resentful, they are indulging in divisive politics to divide people on religion, region, community, caste,” he added.
He said that any such move in future will be resisted tooth and nail by the National Conference and the party will expose the nefarious designs of all those indulging in divisive politics..
Tuning his attack towards Bharatiya Janta Party, he said that the party had lost its relevance in Jammu & Kashmir. He said it was this party which has always played with the emotions of the people of the region by raising communal passions in a bid to divide the society on the basis of religion. He asserted that National Conference will defeat these communal forces and strengthen the secular fabric of JK.
Claiming that National Conference and Congress coalition government stands united by an ideological bond and was striving for the holistic development of the entire state, he the sole objective of coalition was serving the people and ensuring the development of the state. He said coalition government is striving to realize the vision of Sonia Gandhi, Dr Manmohan Singh, Dr Farooq Abdullah and Omar Abdullah for a better and vibrant Jammu and Kashmir.
Rana highlighted various welfare schemes unleashed by the Omar led government for the welfare of the youth of the state. He said the government’s concern was employment and employability and the government was addressing both through creating avenues of employment as also focusing on skill development to ensure that the youth of the state are employable.
