50% OF DEV WORKS COMPLETED: DDC

Srinagar, Dec 27: Out of 417 different development projects taken up for execution in Srinagar district, 261 works have been completed during current financial year under R&B, PHE, UEED, SMC and ERA, an official handout said.
 This was stated at an officers meeting held here Tuesday under the Chairmanship of District Development Commissioner, Srinagar, Baseer Ahmad Khan.
 The meeting was held to review the pace of developmental project going on in the district.
 It was informed in the meeting that 57 percent expenditure has been made in R&B Sector under District Plan while as under Hydraulic Sector it is 74 percent.
 The District Development Commissioner stressed upon the officers to ensure punctuality in the offices, especially the Power Development departments were directed to ensure presence of the staff posted in the control rooms. He also stressed for transparency in the system and accountability of the officers.
