Mufti slams Omar Govt

Jammu, Dec 28: Opposition PDP today alleged the Omar Abdullah government in Jammu and Kashmir had vitiated the atmosphere for developmental activities.
“The NC-led government had also failed to consolidate the peace process initiated by the previous regime,” PDP patron Mufti Muhammad Sayeed told a public meeting here.
The former Chief Minister accused the state government of eroding and undermining democratic institutions in the state.
He said election to civic bodies in the state had been deliberately delayed by the government.
"Civic bodies elections were scheduled to be held in the month of February 2010 but the government is delaying these without any reason," Mufti  said.
