CRPF holds reception for students
Srinagar, Dec 2: CRPF today organised a reception here for the Kashmiri students who returned from “peace and friendship tour” of Northern India.
According to CRPF spokesman, the students interacted with the Special DG CRPF, Anirudh Uppal.
Uppal complimented the organizers for conducting the tour which, according to him, revealed the concern of CRPF towards the members of the society. He urged the students to be ambitious and concentrate on their studies.
Dr Ravi Prakash Meharda, IGP CRPF Srinagar, Nalin Parbhat, DIG Ops and Int, P K Singh, DIGP CRPF Srinagar South, P K Pandey, DIGP CRPF Srinagar north and Jaya Aiyyar, Superintendent Rahat Ghar were also present.
Dr. Ravi Prakash Meharda said the purpose of organizing the tour was to provide an opportunity and a platform to the students to broaden their horizons and gain confidence to meet the challenges of tomorrow.
The team played two cricket matches in Delhi with DPS R K Puram and Modern High School, Barakhambha Road, New Delhi. They also met President Pratibha Devi Singh Patil, Delhi CM, Sheila Dixit, and DP CRPF, K Vijay Kumar. The students also visited places of tourist interest in Delhi and Wagah border.
