Duo involved in motorbike theft

Shopian, Dec 30: Police on Friday said that it arrested a Panch and his accomplice for their alleged involvement in motor bike thefts in this south Kashmir district.
Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), Irshad Ahmad Rather said cops arrested Abdul Rashid Sheikh, who is also the Panch of village Durpora, Zainpora, and his accomplice Khurshid Ahmad Dar of Batengoo, Islamabad (Anantnag) from Zainapora for their involvement in theft of motorbikes in the area.”
The DSP said that three motorbikes were recovered from the possession of the duo. “They seem to be professional bike lifters and might be involved in many other cases. Both of them are in the police custody and the investigations are on”.
A case FIR No. 125/2011 under section 379, 411 RPC stands registered against the duo in Police Station Zainapora, Shopian.
