Dr Nahida Soz gets National Award

Srinagar, Dec 3: President Pratibha Patil on Saturday presented National Award to Dr Nahida Soz Managing Director of Jammu and Kashmir State Women’s Development Corporation for effectively empowering persons with disabilities in the state, a spokesman of the Corporation said.  “Dr Nahida received the award during a function at Vigyan Bhavan in New Delhi this morning. JK Women’s Development Corporation had been selected for National Awards for empowerment of persons with disabilities 2011 under the category best state channelizing agency of National Handicapped Finance and Development Corporation,” he added.  “Since the day I assumed the charge as MD of the Corporation, I have worked with dedication and honesty. In fact my efforts have been appreciated by all the stakeholders of the Corporation particularly women beneficiaries,” Dr Nahida told Greater Kashmir.
