PDP condemns use of ‘brute force’ in Shahr-e-Khaas

Srinagar, Dec 3: The Peoples Democratic Party, Saturday condemned the use of “brute force” on the people during protests on Friday in Shahr-e-Khaas.
 In a party statement here, the spokesman accused the state government of resorting to “inhumane tactics of crowd control in which many elderly were targeted by pepper guns.”
 “People are fed up by this most repressive government that is using every violent method to curb dissent,” the party said in a statement.
 The party has called an immediate end to the “savage treatment of peaceful protests that has so far caused heavy civilian causality.”
