Zaffar pays tributes to Sher-i-Dil
Srinagar, Dec 3: Jammu Kashmir Salvation Movement chairman Zaffar Akbar Bhat on Saturday paid glowing tributes to Ghulam Nabi Mir alias Sher-i-Dil alias Bab who, according to Zaffar, had played a vital in making successful the Chrar-i-Shrief Chaloo programme in 1990.
In a statement today, a spokesman of the JKS said, “After 1990, Sher-i-Dil, MA, migrated to Pakistan administered Kashmir. He played a central role in running a militant outfit namely Kashmir Liberation Army for a long time. He passed away on November 30, 2011, due to cardiac ailment in Pakistan administered Kashmir.”
Addressing a condolence meeting at the residence of Sher-i-Dil, Zaffar threw light on the services to deceased to the ongoing freedom movement.
As a part of JKSM’s public contact campaign, Zaffar along with other party leaders on Saturday visited Chadoora, Nagam and Chrar-i-Sharief areas of district Budgam. He visited the residences of Muhammad Yaseen Yatoo and other detainees, expressing solidarity with their families.
