Alpha Sector hailed

Sonamarg, Dec 5: The civil administration and the locals on Monday hailed Alpha Sector OC, Major Reema as the army’s post at Sonamarg closed for winter.The locals hailed the army post particularly Major Reema for providing “best of the assistance to the people.”They said the post prevented some major tragedies including the one when last month convoy of truckers got stranded in hostile weather and were rescued by the army.The people were speaking at a farewell function organized by the army ahead of the yearly closure.
