Jammu, Dec 5:  In a bid to preserve and propagate the rich culture, art and language of Kashmiri Pandits, a community radio station was launched here today.
Established by NGO Pir Panchal, 'Sharda FM Radio' was launched by state Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation minister Raman Bhalla.
Located at Muthi mini-township for displaced Kashmiri Pandits in the city, 'Sharda Radio' would be available at 92.4 frequency.
"This is a major initiative undertaken by the KPs to make the young generation aware of their rich cultural heritage," Bhalla told reporters.
He said the government will provide all necessary support to the community radio service.
The state government has granted land and provided a complex to the radio station for its functioning, Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner Vinod Kaul said.
