Not receptive
This refers to the news “We’re waiting for response from separatists: Padgaonkar.” I suppose the separatist leadership has made it abundantly clear that they won’t be talking to the New Delhi appointed interlocutors on Kashmir. It makes little sense to call separatists on table, especially after the interlocutors issued a public statement that people in Jammu and Kashmir were not in favour of UN resolutions on Kashmir. Why do the interlocutors expect the Hurriyat-G chairman, Syed Ali Geelani to talk to them when he is in favour of UN resolutions? Why should Mirwaiz Umar Farooq talk to them when not a single point out of his four point proposal has been accepted so far? Why should Yasin Malik talk to them when he is not allowed to take out a peaceful procession? I think the interlocutors are just buying time by expecting something which is not possible. As a common man, I feel the separatists are not in a position to enter into any dialogue process, especially after the 2010 unrest. It is futile to talk to New Delhi which is not receptive to the demands from Kashmiris and the separatists.
