Photo exhibition on Gujjars ends

Jammu: A week long photo exhibition on Gujjars held at Kala Kendra here concluded on Sunday.
 According to a communiqué, the Governor, N N Vohra, First lady Usha Vohra, ministers and senior government officials also visited the exhibition. The visitors also included: Minister for Public Health Engineering, Taj Mohi-ud-Din, Minister for Forest and Environment, Mian Altaf Ahmed, Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Pawan Kotwal, MLC Muhammad Yusuf Taing, Former Director General Culture and MLC, Chowdhary Zulfikar Ali, Chowdhary Javed Rana, Former VC BGSB, Masud Chowdhary, Academy Secretary, Zaffar Iqbal Manhas, Former Director General Tourism Muhammad Saleem Beig and others.
 The visitors stressed the need to preserve the tribal and nomadic heritage of Gujjars of Jammu and Kashmir by using latest technology. They also urged to propagate, disseminate and document various farms of Gujjar tradition through audio visual means. The exhibition was organized by Tribal Research and Cultural Foundation.
